Great medicine. Strong income. No required call. And a legitimate path to ownership.
An established, privately owned small animal practice in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is seeking a full- or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team.
This is an opportunity for a veterinarian who wants more than another associate position. The practice offers an established clientele, outstanding support staff, flexible scheduling, surgical mentorship, and the potential for an experienced veterinarian to pursue practice ownership after approximately one year.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- $150,000–$250,000 earning potential
- $1,000/day for experienced DVMs
- $850/day for new graduates
- 22–25% production structure
- Full-time or part-time flexibility
- No required on-call
- Optional emergencies paid at 40% production
- Health insurance
- Paid malpractice
- Simple IRA with 3% employer match
- Partnership/buy-in opportunity

Practice Medicine — Not Technician Duties
Veterinarians are supported by an experienced team that typically includes 3–4 technicians and two receptionists for one doctor.
The modern facility includes three exam rooms, a large treatment area, a dedicated surgery suite, a separate dental area, digital radiography, in-house Heska lab equipment, DentalAire equipment, anesthesia machines, and a full pharmacy.
Doctors can focus on what they were trained to do: diagnose, treat, perform surgery, and care for patients.
Clinical Opportunity
The Associate will practice comprehensive small animal medicine, including:
- Wellness and preventive care
- Internal medicine
- Diagnostics
- Dentistry
- General soft-tissue surgery
An interest in surgery is preferred, but advanced surgical experience is not required.
The owner has approximately 20 years of veterinary experience and enjoys mentoring doctors who want to strengthen their surgical and medical skills.
A Schedule Built for a Life Outside the Clinic
Typical hours are approximately 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, generally with a one- to two-hour lunch.
There is no required after-hours call.
Doctors who want additional income may voluntarily handle emergency cases at 40% production.
The goal is simple: build a successful practice while making sure everyone can actually take time off and enjoy it.
Want to Own a Practice Someday?
The owner isn't offering a vague promise of “partnership someday.”
For the right experienced veterinarian, a buy-in opportunity could potentially be available after approximately one year.
That means the opportunity to step into an established practice with:
Patients. Staff. Equipment. Cash flow. Mentorship. And infrastructure already in place.
New Graduates Welcome
The practice is willing to mentor the right veterinarian in surgery, internal medicine, case management, and the business side of veterinary medicine.
The ideal candidate brings curiosity, a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and the desire to keep getting better.
Build More Than a Career
Idaho Falls offers access to an exceptional outdoor lifestyle with fishing, hiking, skiing, camping, hunting, boating, and some of the West's most spectacular destinations within reach.
Build a great veterinary career. Earn well. Have a life outside the clinic. And if ownership is the goal, build toward something that's actually yours.
