Associate Veterinarian | Established Private Practice | Tecumseh, Michigan

Opportunity Overview:

A highly regarded small animal private practice in Tecumseh, Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their experienced and supportive team. As the current practice owners plan for a gradual transition into retirement, this position presents a unique opportunity for a veterinarian to step into a thriving practice with long-term potential. Ideal candidates will either bring strong surgical skills or a desire to advance them in a collaborative, mentorship-rich environment.

Position Title: Associate Veterinarian

Location: Tecumseh, MI

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive wellness and sick patient exams
• Diagnose medical conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments
• Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures
• See an average of 20–24 patients per day, supported by a highly skilled team
• Collaborate closely with a team of 3 veterinarians, 3 licensed veterinary technicians, and 6 veterinary assistants/receptionists

Schedule:

• Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a 1-hour lunch)
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (with a 1-hour lunch)
• Every other Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
• Surgical proficiency or a strong desire to expand surgical capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach to care
