A respected private practice with multiple locations is seeking a Lead Veterinarian for its Waukesha-area hospital, with a defined path to partnership. If you’re ready to influence medicine, mentor others, and help shape a hospital’s future, this is the opportunity.

Why Waukesha? Milwaukee Without the Headache

  • Short commutes, easy parking, and quiet neighborhoods
  • Strong schools and family-friendly communities
  • Access to Milwaukee’s dining, sports, festivals, lakefront, and airport—then back home to peace
  • Lower cost of living with higher quality of life

You get the benefits of a major metro without paying for it in traffic or stress.

The Role (Leadership-Focused)

  • Serve as Lead Veterinarian—clinical leader and mentor
  • Influence medical standards, workflow, and team development
  • Autonomy to grow special interests (surgery, ultrasound, dentistry, exotics, etc.)
  • Partner with ownership on strategy, growth, and future expansion
  • Supported by a stable, collaborative private-practice team

This is a voice-at-the-table role—not a shift-filling position.

The Practice

  • Privately owned, growth-minded veterinary group
  • Modern, well-equipped facilities
  • Includes a brand-new 4,500 sq. ft. hospital in Burlington
  • Designed for efficient workflows and quality medicine
  • Culture built around respect, collaboration, and longevity

Compensation & Partnership

  • Base salary: $110K–$150K
  • 20% production
  • $170K–$200K+ realistic earning potential by year two
  • Defined path to partnership for the right leader
  • 36–40 hour workweek

Benefits

  • Health insurance
  • CE allowance
  • PTO
  • Professional coverage
  • Simple IRA with 3% employer match

Who This Is For

  • Veterinarians ready to step into leadership
  • Clinicians who want autonomy and influence—not micromanagement
  • Doctors thinking long-term ownership, not short-term hopping
  • Those who value private practice and community-based medicine

Bottom Line

This is a Lead Veterinarian opportunity near Milwaukee where you can:

  • Practice high-level medicine
  • Mentor and lead a team
  • Build toward ownership
