Locum Dentist – 3 Days/Week | Carlinville, IL

A well-supported dental practice in Carlinville, IL is seeking a locum dentist to provide coverage from October through December during a maternity leave. This 3-day-per-week assignment offers a consistent schedule, modern technology, and flexibility to refer more complex posterior procedures internally.

The clinical team includes dental assistants, registered dental hygienists, administrative staff, an additional roaming dental assistant, and another dentist to support an efficient workflow.

The Role:

• Location: Carlinville, IL 62626
• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for a 3-month assignment from October through December
• Hours: Monday/Wednesday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Patient Volume: 10–12 patients per day
• Clinical Scope: Fillings, crowns, simple extractions, root canals, and implant restorations; posterior procedures may be referred to internal dentists as needed
• Tech Stack: Dentrix Ascend, digital X-ray, CBCT, Dexis Sensors, PrimeScan Scanner, and CEREC
• Preferred Skills: CEREC experience and an active DEA registration are nice-to-have qualifications
• Compensation: Competitive pay rate + comprehensive malpractice insurance coverage

• Credentials: Active Illinois License and current BLS certification.
