50+ year established mental health organization is seeking our next Medial Director.
Our current Medical Director is retiring after 24 years of outstanding service. And that’s 24 years with this same organization which should tell you a little about what it’s like to work here. Turnover is almost non-existent here.
100% outpatient Psychiatry
Medical Director role is 80/20 clinic/admin.
40-hour work week.
Salary is above MGMA average and negotiable based on experience. For reference, MGMA Middle was right at $280k last year. Rather than getting stuck on a number, at a glance, let’s discuss the position and your income requirements and see if we can find a number that works for all.
Average 13 patients/day
One hour for initial consults
Up to 2 hours for C&A consults
Robust support staff around you.
Maine is a state in which Advanced Practitioners function autonomously – i.e., no sign-off required by you/physician.
Wonderful supportive people that all get along well and work well together.
Approximately 22,000 local population and over 65,000 service population
Easy access to several airports. The closest regional airport is 20 minutes from your office.
Essentially zero crime. 2019 saw ONE violent crime reported. Only ONE in the entire year. That’s almost unheard of these days.
There are big box stores. “Depots of Homes” and places like that. You will not have to drive an hour to buy socks or EarPods. Yes it is semi-rural.

Post-training leadership experience and correlating title required to be considered. No exceptions.
The preference would be at least 3 years in a director role of some kind, but if you have been in a director role only a few months – you still may be considered.
